“Depending on the machine and application, when we convert a DC to AC, it can make sense to switch from an air-cooled to a water-cooled system. That enables us to seal the cabinet and eliminate filters that would otherwise need to be changed during routine maintenance.
In some cases, we can also move heat exchangers from inside to outside the housing and eliminate a couple of intake fans, which reduces both energy consumption and noise. So when we’re doing DC to AC conversions, we really want to look at the big picture.”
