FLANDERS to Exhibit at 2013 Bluefield Coal Show

The 2013 Bluefield Coal Show takes place from September 11-13, 2013 at the Brushfork Armory-Civic Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. FLANDERS will be one of over 240 exhibitors at this year’s show.

The international coal show is organized by the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce and welcomes industry leaders, technicians, professional experts, and coal equipment manufacturers.

Highlights of the show include emerging coal equipment, products, and services, along with innovative new technology designed to help advance the industry sector. Attendees can expect to see truck equipment, mining services, industrial and mining products, tire products, industrial technologies, mining and industrial systems, mine machinery, and more.

FLANDERS Gives Back to Community

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – FLANDERS, a privately owned, third-generation manufacturer of motors, power systems, and automation solutions, is giving back to the Evansville community by sponsoring a leadership seminar for employees and partners of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation.

The seminar features leadership strategies created by The John Maxwell Company, a company that FLANDERS has collaborated with for years to promote leadership development training internally. FLANDERS cares for its employees and the community and routinely offers development opportunities that help cultivate great leaders.

FLANDERS’ passion for the community led to a natural fit when partnering with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation to develop its leadership in a two-hour presentation on February 27 titled “The Five Levels of Leadership.” International speaker Chris Fuller will be presenting the seminar which is based on an award-winning book by John Maxwell.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Locally-founded FLANDERS, a family-owned business formerly known as Flanders Electric, has launched a company history video telling the story of how this quiet giant grew from a small electric motor shop to an innovator in heavy industrial motors and systems.

The FLANDERS history features family patriarch Roy Patterson, his son and grandsons telling the story of FLANDERS’ impact on heavy industry – especially mining – through years of motor repair innovations and other engineering breakthroughs that have increased production, lowered operating costs and improved safety in mining, metals milling, utilities, alternative energy and other heavy industries.
